Oxygen Measurement (O2)

Visiwater Oxygen Probe

Dissolved oxygen sensor based on the luminescence principle. With robust sensor tip and low drift.

Advantages

  • Short response time
  • Minimal maintenance
  • High accuracy
  • No reagents required
  • Long calibration interval
  • Robust design
  • Easy to install

The tip of visiwater’s probe head is coated with a sensor layer which is excited during measurement, causing fluorescence. In the presence of oxygen this fluorescence is inhibited. This allows the determination of the oxygen concentration from the intensity of the fluorescence.

This measurement principle requires neither polarisation time nor electrolyte.

OXI 866 Oxygen Probe

Precision industrial-grade measuring cell for dissolved oxygen with replaceable head.

The sensor head of the OXI 866 contains a gold and a silver electrode and is filled with an electrolyte gel. A gas-permeable membrane covers the tip of the sensor. During measurement oxygen in the sample enters the sensor through the membrane and gets reduced in an electrochemical reaction at the electrodes. This reaction generates a current which is proportional to the amount of oxygen present.

Advantages

  • Cost-efficient
  • Chemically robust
  • Probe with long lifetime and exchangeable membrane heads
  • Minimal maintenance
